The Last Thought

As children we all were dreamers and our imaginations were limitless. If asked what we wanted to become as adults, we would produce answers ranging from a doctor to an astronaut. But, somewhere along the path of life we stopped dreaming. We stopped reaching for the stars and settled for a mortgage and a car note like everyone else. We fell into the groove of a 9-5 "job" and forgot about our "work". A job is what you chose, but your work is what chose you. A job requires you to start and stop at a certain time and handle daily agendas. But your work is what wakes you out of sleep to pursue the next level of excellence. Your work is what God created you to do. Work is Da Vinci with a brush and Disney with film. Work is Jordan with a basketball and Tiger with a club. Work is that burning passion inside of you that nothing can fulfill but the actualization of it. There is something inside of everyone that is loved so much that you would do it for free. It's a hobby or a pastime that grabs your attention, something so captivating that sacrifice is not an option, it's a requirement. The issue is that we settle. We become so engulfed in life and bills and other attention grabbers that we truly busy ourselves with things that" just have to be done " instead of doing what we love. The beauty of life is that it's never too late to start again. If you have breath in your body you can press the reset button on your life and begin anew. The change won't happen overnight but with proper planning and diligence, you can achieve your hearts desire. You surely will face opposition by those who fail to pursue their own dreams. They will present to you factual reasons why your dream isn't feasible. They aren't haters of your dreams but simply fearful people disguised as realists. There's a natural discomfort that following your dreams bring. Especially, if you plan on becoming financially dependent on what's inside of you. It's easy to just " get the check " but nothing is as fulfilling as doing what's in your heart. With a determined mind and a well thought out plan, God will help you to stop just existing and start living. I challenge you to pick up your dreams again. Learn to think again and follow your passion. In closing, remember it's not to late, you haven't gone too far and the world has not passed you by. LIVE, CREATE AND REPRODUCE GREATNESS.
