Return to the throne
As I get older I realize the limitless possibilities that present themselves daily. I see and hear of others reaching great heights of achievement, while I remain in Normalville and rest in what we call "security". A wise man once said, " The people who are crazy enough to believe that they can change the world, are the one's who do it ". There has to be a moment where you have an epiphany and understand that nothing just happens unless you make it happen. Every intention, organization or great accomplishment happened only because it was engineered first in the mind of an individual. From Microsoft to Coca Cola to Walmart, none would exist without the thoughts, plans and execution of people willing to risk it all. In this life the only stable entity is change. You have to be willing to stake your place in the world and know that there is room for the gift you have to present to society.
Write down every reason WHY you need to become a person of substance and WHAT you need to do will come easily. Challenge yourself to find out why you were born, why are the race you and why are you alive??? If you know why, understanding of what you should be doing will be very evident. Take the time this week and discover your purpose and I'm sure that this week will be the turnaround you're waiting on. Be blessed.

The Last Thought
As children we all were dreamers and our imaginations were limitless. If asked what we wanted to become as adults, we would produce answers ranging from a doctor to an astronaut. But, somewhere along the path of life we stopped dreaming. We stopped reaching for the stars and settled for a mortgage and a car note like everyone else. We fell into the groove of a 9-5 "job" and forgot about our "work". A job is what you chose, but your work is what chose you. A job requires you to start and stop at a certain time and handle daily agendas. But your work is what wakes you out of sleep to pursue the next level of excellence. Your work is what God created you to do. Work is Da Vinci with a brush and Disney with film. Work is Jordan with a basketball and Tiger with a club. Work is that burning passion inside of you that nothing can fulfill but the actualization of it.
There is something inside of everyone that is loved so much that you would do it for free. It's a hobby or a pastime that grabs your attention, something so captivating that sacrifice is not an option, it's a requirement. The issue is that we settle. We become so engulfed in life and bills and other attention grabbers that we truly busy ourselves with things that" just have to be done " instead of doing what we love. The beauty of life is that it's never too late to start again. If you have breath in your body you can press the reset button on your life and begin anew. The change won't happen overnight but with proper planning and diligence, you can achieve your hearts desire.
You surely will face opposition by those who fail to pursue their own dreams. They will present to you factual reasons why your dream isn't feasible. They aren't haters of your dreams but simply fearful people disguised as realists. There's a natural discomfort that following your dreams bring. Especially, if you plan on becoming financially dependent on what's inside of you. It's easy to just " get the check " but nothing is as fulfilling as doing what's in your heart. With a determined mind and a well thought out plan, God will help you to stop just existing and start living. I challenge you to pick up your dreams again. Learn to think again and follow your passion. In closing, remember it's not to late, you haven't gone too far and the world has not passed you by. LIVE, CREATE AND REPRODUCE GREATNESS.

Love Jones
Love is such a popular word nowaday. We love everything from our family to the dog to our favorite dish. I often wonder what is love in its purest form. To love there must be a sense of selflessness mixed with a sprinkle of selfishness. As oxymoronic as that statement is, it is very true.
One loves with the expectation to at least receive back the same love. It's very few instances where we love without reciprocity in mind. Just think of the times you've been the lowest and I can bet it's been when you have invested in someone and didn't receive the same effort in return. I'll wait while you process that thought........
We most practice selfless love when it comes to our children. Now, to be clear, I don't have children but I can imagine to an extent the intensity of a parent's love. A parent loves at the cost of risking their own existence for the continuation continuation of their child's life. Instead of belittling a child for not being on our level, we do everything possible to raise the child to grandeur and a platform of success that is higher than our own. Why?????? Because there is pure love flowing.
Our charge by God is to love one another with the same love that He has shown us. God has love that supercedes that of parent to child and we are commissioned to love each other in that manner. WOW!!!
It's a high charge but if it's what God wants, then understand that He had equipped you to do it. We mustn't niggardly restrain love, but allow it to flow like a raging sea. In closing,I challenge you to go love someone today. Not in a self fulfilling way, but love today like God loves you.
Be blessed today!!!!!

Yeah, it's not them, it's you
The topic that I will be addressing in this blog is going to be very sensitive. If you're easily offended, please stop reading.
The subject of today's blog is handling the enemy named "you". An African proverb says, "If there is no enemy inside, the enemy outside can do no harm". That proverb rings so true and is applicable to our modern society. Most times, if you find someone in any amount of trouble, they will tell you what someone else did to get them in the situation. If they're broke, it's the "man" keeping them down. If they're emotionally deprived, someone hurt them and they can't get over it. No matter the scenario, the common theme is to blame other people for trouble. The most liberating day of your life will be when you take responsibility for everything good or bad in your life. Yes, someone may have hurt you, but it's your choice to relive that hurt daily. As Eleanor Roosevelt was quoted as saying, " No one can hurt you without your permission". You must decide that you will be in control of how you feel and how you behave. It is such a freedom to know that what happens to you, doesn't have anything to do with how you think or live. If you've been hurt in relationship, take note of what happened in that particular relationship and understand the hurt was compartmentalized to that relationship. Stop making new people suffer for what your ex did. Stop expecting the same issues from totally different people. You rob yourself from enjoying a potentially great relationship and you punish someone innocent. We must learn to take responsibility for our actions and understand we are where we are, because of the thoughts that have gone into our minds. Simply put, you become what you think about. If you are someone that doesn't like who you have become, change what you think and do. As you change your thoughts, you change your life. I hope you are encouraged today and find peace in these words. Make today your best day ever. Always control your life by controlling your thoughts. Be blessed

Ready or not, here I come.
It's an incredible phenomenon that change is a part of life, but it isn't ordinarily readily accepted. Most of the time people have a natural apprehension to changes in policies, attitudes or procedures. We all know change is inevitable, but we tend to battle against even the simplest of transitions. A baby simply being weaned from a pacifier causes great trouble, not only for the child but also for everyone involved. In your adult life as you move from level to level, there will be people that are affected by your transformation. Growing as an individual sometimes makes those who are not growing themselves very uncomfortable. People like to deal with you in the manner that they met you, and have no issues until you show signs of moving forward. Never let another person's restrictions negatively affect your development. People will keep you in a box that is comfortable for them, while you are distressed living in a rut. You have to accept that some people won't like you, but you can't live off of the oxygen that they breathe. You have to make decisions for yourself that maybe misunderstood by those that are not visionaries. Imagine if someone had convinced the Wright Bros. that an airplane wasn't conceivable... The world would be far less connected if their dream had not been achieved. Settling for what's normal is more painful than reaching for the dream that's never been dreamt. You have to demand the best out of yourself. You owe it to yourself and your generation to produce the greatness that is inside of you. Execute your visions and watch how the world will arrive at your doorstep. There is someone waiting on your dream to manifest. Dream big, plan great and execute beautifully. As Nike says "JUST DO IT!" Keep the beauty of creation alive and go forward. NEVER GIVE UP.

Faith that reveals..........
Revelation is an event that causes you to understand something that initially was a mystery. Nothing is more beautiful than having an "aha moment". IT comes out of nowhere and hits you in the head like a bucket of bricks. When having a revelation you often wonder why it hadnt occurred to you earlier. You could have saved time, avoided misfortune and been further, if only you had thought of your revelation sooner. Oftentimes the easiest way to overcome the frustration is to accept that the journey was well worth the wait. Most in generally, what you learned on the way to you destination actually helped you to better appreciate what you have received. The remarkable thing is that the object of my desire existed even in the infancy of my longing for it. Just reflect on the things you desire in life but are not in the possession of. Now, accept the reality that what you want not only is available but it is available for YOU. If you want a husband, he doesn't have to be created but revealed. If you desire a job, it doesn't have to formed but like in the prior example , revealed to you. The great thing about desire is that you wouldn't have a thirst for that which you could not attain. Take comfort in the previous sentence. IF YOU DESIRE IT, BELIEVE THAT IT EXISTS AND IF IT EXISTS IT JUST HAS TO BE REVEALED. Stop wrestling with yourself about if you're good enough or if you deserve something. God created you special and different from anyone else. Your fingerprint is unique from anyone else that ever lived and in the same likeness, your impact in this world is idiosyncratic in nature as well. Start today. Make a decision that you won't live another day trying to be like anyone else. Be the best you that you can be. No one can take your place and no one can cover for you. Accept who you are and OWN IT. If you are talented OWN IT. If you're creative OWN IT. QUIT ONLY HONORING OTHERS AND RECOGNIZE THE REVEALED GIFTS INSIDE OF YOU. As Always keep your head high and your arrogance low and watch God take you higher than you ever imagined.

Pray first
Prayer is one of the most essential parts of living a life of purpose. Whether you call it mediation, reaching out to God or simply having a lil talk with Jesus, it all falls under the umbrella of communication. It is impossible to have a relationship with someone that you don't communicate with. Imagine trying to tell your spouse what you want for dinner without ever verbalizing your request. Prayer is an opportunity for a finite being to commune with the infinite. Prayer links you to information that will transform your future and heal your past. What's even more powerful is that God makes it so easy to get in contact with Him. The Word says if you draw close to Him, He will draw close to you. That simply means that whatever qualifies as close to you, it is sufficient to require a response from God. You don't have to wax poetically and try to astound God with verbosity. Keep prayer simple and personal because He already knows what you need. What's really amazing is that He knew what you needed BEFORE you knew you needed it. Your needs or troubles are not a surprise to God. He knew your storm was coming so He made you stronger in a particular area so your issue wouldn't kill you but only identifies the strength that you already possessed. Before you do anything and I mean ANYTHING, stop and PRAY FIRST. Take the time and acknowledge God and ask Him for guidance. Now, don't confuse involving God in all you do with expecting Him to decide everything for you. He is a helper and He helps YOU do that what needs to be accomplished. Prayer is a tool to catapult you into Gods plan for your life and empowers YOU to walk out what He has for you to do. Keep the slogan PRAY FIRST tattooed on your heart and also as Zig Ziglar would say, " I plan on seeing you, and yes I mean you, not just at the top, but over the top".
